About

The forest is burning and you are the firebreak. Fire Break is a turn-based puzzle on a hex grid. Each turn the fire spreads to every tree it can reach. You hold three pieces - two- and three-hex cutting shapes - and each one you place clears the trees under it. Draw a ring the fire cannot cross, and the forest inside the ring is saved. Miss a gap, and the fire pours through it. THINK BEFORE YOU CUT There is no timer. Take as long as you like to read the front, then place a piece. The fire only moves when you are done with your hand. Every level is a small tactics problem: where is the fire going next, which of your three shapes fits that gap, and which door do you close first? EVERY TREE COUNTS Your budget is the forest itself. Each tree that burns costs you one point of health, and when it runs out the level is lost. Contain the fire early and you finish with health to spare; let it run and you are racing it to the last row. Three stars go to the player who saves the most. LEVELS THAT KEEP COMING, EACH ONE MEASURED Every board is shaped by hand and tuned by play: rock walls that funnel the fire, sparks that start on two or three fronts at once, embers that flare up behind your line just when you think it is safe. The curve is built to be fair - every level can be finished, and every level can be three-starred. EASY TO LEARN, HARD TO MASTER - One rule: fire spreads to neighbouring trees, cut trees stop it. - Three pieces in hand, dealt fresh every turn. - Rotate nothing, memorise nothing - just see the shape and place it. - Short sessions: a level takes a few minutes, a hard one a few tries. - Clean, readable board - what you see is exactly what will burn. Fire Break is free to play, with optional ads that let you revive a level you were about to lose. Can you close the ring before the forest is gone?Read more
