About
Ease Down is a 90-second wellness check-in for the moments when your body feels wound up. Rest a fingertip over the rear cameras and Ease Down reads your pulse. If it is already calm, it tells you so. If it is up, the pulse moves to the top of the screen and a breathing guide takes over, with haptics you can follow with your eyes closed, until things settle. Then a second look: before, after, and a calm sentence about it. No scores. HOW A CHECK-IN GOES • Baseline pulse: about 15 seconds, read through the camera with the flash. Or connect a Bluetooth heart-rate strap or a watch in broadcast mode. • Breathing: a luminous orb that swells and eases, with a rhythm you choose (4·4·6, 4·7·8, box). Haptics mark inhale, hold and exhale. • A little focus (optional): simple sums, counting, or Steady Tap, forty slow taps in time with a pulse. No timer, no score. • Second reading, so you can compare. WHY IT FEELS DIFFERENT • Biofeedback you can see: your own pulse before and after, not a generic meditation. • Haptics you can follow without looking at the screen. • Ninety seconds. Nothing to get right. • Private by design: no account, no server. Camera frames are read and discarded on your iPhone. Your check-ins sync only through your own iCloud. ALSO • History with a gentle trend of your check-ins. • Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen. • Apple Health (optional): save check-ins as mindful minutes. • Light and dark, Reduce Motion, VoiceOver. PRICING Your first check-in is free. Then a single one-time purchase unlocks everything: unlimited check-ins, every breathing rhythm, and Bluetooth sensors. Every health-related statement in the app is backed by published sources, listed under Settings › About › Sources & references and linked from the Today tab. Ease Down is a wellness app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, monitor or treat any condition. Readings are approximate and vary with movement, light and device. For chest pain, fainting, breathlessness or anything frightening, contact your local emergency number or a doctor.
