About
A new kickboxing routine every session, and a technique page for every strike in it. Lower Beast Side plans your session round by round, the way many classes are: hands first, kicks once you're moving, the awkward transitions once you're warm. The rules behind it were designed by genuine kickboxing enthusiasts. Open the app and Today's Work is already written. Read it, reshuffle it if you like, then tap Start training. HOW A ROUTINE IS BUILT - Rounds one and two are short punching combinations. Kicks arrive in round three, knees and side kicks later, and the combinations lengthen as the session goes on. - Each round drills one combination for the whole round, so it has time to become yours. - The rest period shows the next combination, so you can load it before the bell. - Every routine is generated, not picked from a list, so you won't memorize the workout. COMBINATIONS BUILT ON FOOTWORK Every strike declares which foot carries it and where your weight lands when it finishes. Early rounds only chain strikes that flow straight into each other; from round five the generator lets in harder transitions that make you reset your base, the way a real round does. KNOW EVERY STRIKE Tap any strike for what it is and how it's thrown: a one-line definition, the steps, and a key point. Thirty-one strikes in all: punches to head and body, roundhouse, front, side and low kicks, knees, elbows, and the rolls, ducks and pivots that reset your stance mid-combo. Strike codes read like chess notation, the same in every language. SHAPE THE ROUTINE Set the number of rounds and how long each round and rest runs. Switch to boxing only for punches (plus ducks, rolls and pivots with Pro), or open every session with jab-cross before the generator takes over. A bell starts each round, a knock warns you at thirty seconds, and a double bell ends it, so your eyes stay on the bag. LBS PRO: ONE PAYMENT The free app builds routines from 18 strikes, with technique notes for all 18. Pro unlocks the other 13, including low kicks, elbows, the spinning back fist, the Superman punch and the whole defensive set. Rolls and pivots reset your base mid-combo, so combinations can change direction without forcing a reset. One payment, no subscription. Strikes we add to Pro later are included at no extra charge. Works offline, with no sign-up needed and no ads. Available in English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil) and Simplified Chinese. BEFORE YOU START Lower Beast Side plans your rounds and describes each strike, but it isn't a coach: it can't see your form, your space or your equipment, and the rounds get harder as you get tired. Kickboxing training carries a real risk of serious injury. Get medical clearance before you train, learn technique from a qualified in-person coach, check your gear and your space before every session, and stop whenever you need to. You must be 18 or older to use the app.Read more
