About
Stuck on a twisty puzzle? Point your iPhone or iPad at it. CommuniCube reads every face with the camera, lets you fix any sticker with a tap, and then walks you through the solution one move at a time on an animated 3D model — in plain English, not just notation. Puzzles it solves (all on your device, no internet needed): - 3×3 Cube — a near-optimal solution of about 20 moves, or the Learn mode that solves YOUR cube with the beginner layer-by-layer method so you understand every stage. - 2×2 Pocket Cube — the shortest possible solution, 11 moves or fewer. - 4×4 and 5×5 cubes — solved step by step by reduction: centres, then edges, then finish like a 3×3, with parity handled for you. - Pyraminx — optimal, 11 layer turns or fewer plus up to four tip turns. Skewb — optimal in 11 moves or fewer. - Ivy Cube — optimal, 8 moves or fewer. Dino Cube — solved one edge at a time. - Tower 2×2×3 and Domino 2×3×3 cuboids — optimal within their own moves. - Megaminx and Kilominx — the twelve-sided puzzles, solved piece by piece with sequences that move only three pieces at a time. - Mirror Cube (entered by block depth) and Void Cube. Scanning that just works: - Guided capture of each face with a live overlay showing what the camera reads; it snaps automatically when the picture is steady. - Colours are worked out from all the faces together, so warm lamps and shadows don't fool it. - A check screen shows the whole puzzle as an unfolded net. Tap any sticker to recolour it, and if the pattern is impossible the app tells you exactly why: wrong sticker counts, a piece that can't exist, or a corner that was reassembled twisted. Follow along with confidence: - Every move is written out plainly ("Turn the right face up, away from you") beside a 3D model with a direction arrow, and the standard notation if you want it. - Play, pause, step back and forth, change the speed, and jump between stages on the big cubes. - Timer with scrambles for thirteen of the puzzles — random-state on the 3×3 and the Void Cube, random-move on the rest — plus inspection, ao5/ao12 and a chart of your times. - A Learn tab with animated notation for twelve of the puzzles and the full beginner method. - Colour themes and a colour-blind mode that puts a letter on every sticker. CommuniCube is 100% free for everyone, supported by ads. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no puzzles locked behind a paywall — every solver, the timer and every lesson are available to every user from day one. Want another puzzle or have an idea? Request features and suggest improvements right from the in-app CommuniDev tab — we keep the app free for everyone, forever.Read more
