About
Dearkept keeps your photos in a private library on this iPhone. Photos you add are encrypted on this iPhone before they appear in your library. Dearkept then decrypts each one and compares it against its own fingerprint. Only after that does it say verified. Your originals in Photos are never deleted or changed. WHAT IT DOES Verified imports. Encrypted is not saved, and saved is not verified. Dearkept only reports a photo as verified when it has checked the encrypted copy against the original it read. Add many photos at once, with a truthful progress line and a result for every photo. An 8 digit Vault Code. It is not your iPhone passcode. It cannot be reset. 12 recovery words. Save them somewhere outside this iPhone. With the words and a backup, your library can come back after Dearkept is reinstalled on this iPhone. You can do this whenever it suits you, and it is optional. Vault Health reports the words as Not saved, Saved or Verified, and claims nothing it has not checked. Backup to a folder you choose in Files. Dearkept suggests iCloud Drive first. A folder on the phone itself also works, and is labelled as this iPhone only. Each backup is a single encrypted archive, written and then read back to check it. Restore after a reinstall. Choose the archive in Files, type the 12 words and the Vault Code, then read the report of what came back. Export whenever you want. Send copies to a folder in Files, or save them back to your Photos library, one photo or several at a time. Nothing is ever held back or watermarked on export. A viewer that gets out of the way. Swipe between photos, pinch to zoom, share, and see what Dearkept knows about each one. Trash that waits. Photos you move to Trash stay there until you restore them. Vault Health. One screen, opening with a single status line, that says what is verified, what is backed up, whether your recovery words are saved, and anything that needs you. Locks itself. Dearkept locks when it moves to the background and covers its content in the app switcher. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No account. No sign up, no email address, no password to forget. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising. There is no networking code in Dearkept and no server of ours for it to talk to. When you back up to an iCloud Drive folder or share your recovery words with the share sheet, it is iOS that moves the file, at your request. No charge for what you already keep. Export, backup and restore are free on every plan. DEARKEPT PRO The first 100 photos are free, and the count includes the Library, the Trash and any photos waiting for your attention. Dearkept Pro lifts that limit. Dearkept Pro Annual: Eligible subscribers get 7 days free, then USD 19.99 a year. Dearkept Pro Monthly: USD 3.99 a month. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the period ends, and the renewal is charged in those 24 hours. If you are eligible for the free trial, turn renewal off at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid the first charge. Manage or cancel in the Settings app, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and does not refund the period you are in. Restore purchases is one tap, on the Pro screen and in Settings.
