Glowly points you at a calmer, lower-UV window later on BUILT AROUND YOUR SKIN Answer a few questions about your eyes, your hair and how your skin reacts to the sun, and Glowly works out your skin type. Every limit, SPF suggestion and time window is calculated for that type, not a generic average. YOUR PHOTOS STAY ON YOUR IPHONE The skin scan runs entirely on your device. Photos are never uploaded. Glowly has no account and no server of ours. Your location is sent only to the weather provider, to fetch the forecast where you are. IMPORTANT Glowly is for ages 13 and over. Under 18 needs a parent or guardian's permission; they accept the Terms of Use on your behalf and are responsible for your use. It is for general education only: not medical advice, not a medical device, not a diagnostic or screening tool. Every UV figure, burn limit, vitamin D, SPF suggestion and scan result is an estimate and may be inaccurate; no number Glowly shows means any sun exposure is safe for you. UV radiation is a recognised human carcinogen and there is no safe tan. Sun exposure can cause sunburn, eye injury, heat illness, premature ageing and skin cancers including melanoma — even if you follow Glowly exactly. Every sun decision is yours alone; sunscreen, clothing and shade, not this app, are the accepted protective measures. Never use Glowly to assess a mole, lesion or skin change — see a doctor promptly. See a doctor before using Glowly if you have a personal or family history of skin cancer, atypical or changing moles, a photosensitivity condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take photosensitising medicine. Under 18: sunburn before 18 is a recognised melanoma risk factor and health authorities advise against deliberate tanning. Nothing in Glowly recommends that you tan.
