About
Everybody starts in the bedroom. THE PLAN is a career board game about the music business — the one where the contract is the boss fight. You pick a role, name your player, and climb six floors: THE BEDROOM, THE STREETS, THE STUDIO, THE DEAL, THE COURTROOM, THE BOARDROOM. There are no dice. You move by knowing the answer. WHAT YOU'RE PROTECTING Money, fans, health, and how much of your masters you still own. Sign a deal and a hidden unrecouped balance starts counting against you. Take money from people who never show you the paper and THE ORDER gets a hook in — it takes a cut every turn, and some turns it picks your steps for you. Lose enough ownership with that hook in and you're not an artist any more. You're controlled. QUESTIONS THAT ARE ACTUALLY TRUE 144 questions, every one sourced — the Copyright Act, Copyright Office circulars, named cases, standard deal terms. Get one wrong and the game tells you why, with the source. Nothing repeats until you've seen the whole bank. THE PEOPLE ACROSS THE TABLE SLICK the manager. MR. FINE PRINT. THE LABEL. And THE ORDER, who never show you the paper at all. Every trap is a real decision with a real cost, and the wise answer is not always the one that pays today. THE CLAUSE At the contract level you get the paper itself. Find the line that costs you before you sign it. PLAY WITH FRIENDS Host a room and up to twelve phones join with a four-letter code or a QR scan. Everyone plays their own career on their own phone, standings appear between turns, and the first person to finish ends the room. TWO WAYS IT ENDS Clear the boardroom with your books recouped and you retire — the airport, the plane, the island, your family. Finish still owing the label and you walk back into the bedroom you started in and run the whole thing again. EIGHT ROLES, YOUR LOOK, YOUR VOICE Producer, rapper, singer, DJ, musician, engineer, songwriter, hustler — each with one real edge on the board. Set skin tone and style to match yourself, and pick the voice that reads the questions to you. FREE FOR THREE DAYS Play the whole game free for three days. After that a single $1.99 purchase unlocks it for good — no ads, no subscription, nothing else to buy. Educational game about how the business works. Not legal advice — if you have a real contract in front of you, take it to an entertainment attorney who represents you.Read more
