About

Khaki is a habit tracker that doesn't punish you. Plan a pause and the streak survives it, fill in a day you forgot, come back after a gap to a welcome, not a zero. It works with the lights down: one dark khaki palette, serif headings, hand-drawn icons. It keeps your daily habits, the goals underneath them, and a journal for the parts that need words. It opens on Today: a greeting, a calendar strip, and a feed of days that scrolls both ways. Yesterday is editable; tomorrow is already there. SIX KINDS OF HABIT • Yes / no — the plain one. • Quantity — a target and a unit. A tap adds one; three glasses out of eight is progress, not a miss. • Timer — anything from 1 to 180 minutes, run full-screen. • Quit — inverted: the row reads "holding strong" until you mark a slip. • Checklist — items to tick off, unfolding in place. • Entry — tapping the row opens a journal entry; saving it marks the day done. A yes / no habit with a set time can run up to six sessions a day: 1 of 3 · next 15:00. GOALS AND A BACKLOG A habit can sit under a goal; a goal can stand alone as an intention with a date it counts down to, pinned to the top of Today. What you set aside goes to a backlog with a note instead of being deleted, history intact. STREAKS THAT FORGIVE A planned pause is not a miss: the streak steps over those days and picks up at your first mark after. Partial progress counts as progress, a forgotten day can be filled in later, and coming back after a real gap gets you a "Welcome back", not a reset to zero. REMINDERS, NOT ONE ALARM A habit can have several reminders: an hour before, again ten minutes before, for every session. A TIMER FOR SITTING STILL Choose the minutes your chime should sound — minute 1, minute 21 — and each becomes a dot on the ring; the same sound marks the finish. Seven signals: two singing bowls, two bells, a gong, a drop, or silence. The sound plays even when your phone is on silent, mixes over your music, and the screen stays awake for the session. Under the ring, a slow animation: orbit, breathing, mandala or comet. TOOLS A tool is a technique written down — what it is for, and its numbered steps. Attach one to a habit and a long press on its row brings it up, for the moment you forget how. JOURNAL AND MOOD Entries have a title, an icon, an optional mood and a body set in serif; search covers every title and body. Start from a saved prompt or from nothing. The day's mood is one tap under the Today heading; log a low mood and the app offers the journal once, gently — and never again if you say so. WHAT THE STATISTICS SHOW A year-long heatmap, completion by weekday, the spread of your moods month by month, a table of every habit, week by week. For each habit: current streak, best streak, the last 30 days, a calendar of its whole life. And when your logs support one, a plain observation: which habit shows up on the days you log a better mood. TWENTY SMALL MOMENTS Khaki notices things — a first mark, a record of your own broken, a perfect week, a day finished before 8 p.m. With every habit done, the whole screen goes into dusk: the day is complete, time to rest. WHAT IT COSTS Nothing. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, no trial, nothing behind a paywall. Khaki does not track you, and no account is needed: your habits, entries and moods live in the app's own storage on your iPhone. Khaki speaks English and Russian, scales with your text-size setting, respects Reduce Motion, and asks for one permission — notifications — only when you turn on a reminder or open the timer. Requires iOS 18. iPhone only, portrait only, always dark — no widgets, no watch app, no Health sync, no iCloud sync, no data export. THE OPTIONAL ACCOUNT Settings has one optional sign-in for White Rock employees — White Rock makes Khaki — which syncs their data across their own devices and accepts only a White Rock work account. Everyone else gets the whole app without signing in. A day you can finish and put away.Read more
