About
CrownAccess shows you where you can camp, hunt, and fish on Crown land in Ontario. Open it and the camping layer is already drawn — no account, no signup, no trial to start. It shows Crown land where the province's own Crown Land Use Policy Atlas records camping as permitted, with private land, non-freehold dispositions, First Nation reserves, provincial parks and conservation reserves taken back out of it, and the ground around all 190 posted no-camping signs cleared. WHAT YOU GET FREE • Camping on Crown land, province-wide • Satellite imagery and a quiet topographic basemap • Your position on the map • Search by place name or by typed coordinates • Plain-language guides to the rules people actually trip on WITH A SUBSCRIPTION • Hunting on Crown land • Wildlife Management Units — tap a unit for its open seasons by species, resident and non-resident • Crown Land roads — MNRF segments filtered to Crown-owned, open, passable and ungated • Private Land — patented parcels, so you can see where Crown land actually stops • Offline map packs, so the map still works with no signal • Saved spots with notes, shared with your account on crownaccess.ca BUILT FROM THE GOVERNMENT'S OWN DATA Every layer comes from Ontario open data — the Crown Land Use Policy Atlas, Crown Land Roads Wildlife Management Unit boundaries and Ontario Parcel. Each layer's (i) button says exactly what it was built from and what it does not prove. WHAT IT IS NOT CrownAccess is a planning aid, not permission. A green polygon means the land use policy permits camping in principle. It is not a campsite, it does not promise road access or legal parking, and it says nothing about fire bans, active forestry or township by-laws. Signs on the ground and the regulations outrank anything on this map. Check the official source before you rely on it. SUBSCRIPTION CrownAccess Plus adds hunting, Wildlife Units, Crown Land roads and private land to the map, plus offline map packs and saved spots. Camping stays free and needs no account. Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and it renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
