About
Is the bath the right temperature? Dip your Apple Watch in the water and Baby Bathtub Thermometer tells you at a glance. Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Series 10 or later have a water temperature sensor. This app uses it to turn the whole watch screen one colour: blue when the bath is too cold, green when it is just right, red when it is too hot. You can read it from across the room, with wet hands, without touching anything. HOW IT WORKS • Open Bathtub Temp on your watch and tap Start Measuring. Water Lock turns on so splashes can't tap the screen. • Put your watch in the bath and hold it still under the surface. • The temperature and colour settle within a few seconds. A gentle tap tells you when the water reaches the right range. • Turn the Digital Crown when you're done. MADE FOR BABY BATHS • Pick the just-right range from published guidance, each option quoted from its source with a link to the page: Raising Children Network (Australia) and Ireland's HSE give 37–38 °C (98.6–100.4 °F) for babies and children, the HSE gives about 36 °C for newborns, and Mayo Clinic suggests around 100 °F. • Set your own range only if your pediatrician recommends it; the app asks you to confirm first. The watch shows the range but can't change it, so a splash can't move it. • °C or °F, set from your region automatically and changeable any time. • Shows the sensor's own accuracy figure while a reading settles, so you know when it has steadied. • Reads only while the watch is in water. An old number never lingers on screen. FREE FOR A WEEK, THEN ONE PAYMENT The app is free for 7 days from your first reading. After that a single in-app purchase, Lifetime Access (US$2.99 or your local equivalent), unlocks it for good on your watch and iPhone. No subscription and nothing that renews. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads and no analytics. Readings never leave your watch; the only network traffic is the App Store purchase itself. The iPhone app is a short guide plus your unit and range settings, which it syncs to the watch. REQUIREMENTS Baby Bathtub Thermometer needs the water temperature sensor found in Apple Watch Ultra (all generations) and Apple Watch Series 10 or later, running watchOS 11 or later. On other models the app explains that the sensor isn't available. SAFETY FIRST This app is an aid for adults, not a medical or safety device. Before your baby goes in, always check the water with the inside of your wrist or elbow, and never leave a baby alone in the bath, even for a moment. Readings come straight from the watch sensor, lag while it settles and can be off by a degree or more, so stir the water and wait for the number to steady. Green means the reading is inside your chosen range, not that the water is safe. The app shows a short safety notice to accept before the first reading, and the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are in the app and at aidanfennessy.github.io/tubtemp-legal.Read more
