About
End Suffer is a different kind of meditation app. It teaches Mindfulness practice from your first breath to the jhānas, the deep meditative absorptions. It teaches Insight practice from first noticing to the four noble paths. Learn the concept in a lesson. Practise it in a guided session. Deepen it in an unguided session, once you actually understand it. Then repeat, until the jhānas and the noble attainments are not ideas you have read about, but states you have seen for yourself. Nothing here is invented. These are the techniques preserved in the Buddhist tradition, taught in their traditional order, undiluted. Your guide is Coosh: a calm and wise meditation cushion who builds your personal path, sits with you through every session, and adapts as your practice deepens. OUR VISION A world where all beings are free from suffering. OUR MISSION To create tools that help people practise and experience freedom from suffering. YOUR PATH Answer nine short questions and End Suffer builds you a personalised path of twelve techniques across four phases: Settling, Building Stability, Insight and Deepening. Each phase unlocks as you complete the one before it, and later phases are shaped by how your practice is actually going. THREE WAYS TO PRACTISE Lessons: short, bite-sized lessons that teach each technique before you sit with it Guided sessions: 5 to 45 minutes for every technique, with a closing bell Unguided sits: any length up to four hours, with Forest, River or Beach soundscapes, or silence Unguided practice works entirely offline. Guided sessions and lessons can be downloaded for offline listening. A GAZING PLAYER End Suffer gives you a Gazing Player, a full-screen, distraction-free surface built for open-eyed practice on a real meditation object. Coosh guides you in, then steps back and lets you look. QUICK RESET BEFORE YOU SIT This section's aim is to settle your mind before you sit for meditation. It was part of the traditional practice, and Quick Reset will help you meditate better. Feeling angry, stressed, worried, low or caught in craving before a meditation session? Coosh will give you a preparatory, bite-sized meditation to calm down and start your practice with ease. AFTER-SESSION FEEDBACK After each sit, note what arose and leave a few words in your journal. Over time you get a picture of your practice: sessions, minutes, streaks, and the techniques you keep returning to. A NOTE ON CONTEMPLATIVE IMAGERY Some traditional practices, Reflections on Impermanence of the Body (Asubha) and Mindfulness of the Body (Kāyagatāsati), contemplate the body and its impermanence, and include realistic imagery. These are always hidden behind a content warning, are entirely optional, and every one of them can be practised with audio alone. HEALTH DISCLAIMER End Suffer is a meditation and contemplative wellness app. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.
