About
Most expense trackers get abandoned inside a month. JiaDi asks for three minutes, once a month, and only for the balances that changed. It answers "what do we own, what do we owe, and which way is our net worth going" - not "what did I spend on coffee today". The coffee is not what decides whether a household can absorb a shock. SEVEN PLAIN-LANGUAGE CATEGORIES No "current assets", no "interest-bearing instruments": - Money you can use today: current accounts, wallets, cash - Money you have put away: stocks, funds, term deposits, gold - Money you cannot reach yet: pension accounts, insurance cash value - Property and big items: home, car, other valuables - Money owed to you: lent to friends, deposits, unreimbursed expenses - Bills due soon: credit cards, short-term consumer credit - Long-term loans: mortgage and car loan, as principal outstanding Each says what belongs in it: insurance at surrender value, not premiums paid; a mortgage as principal outstanding, not every payment still to come. Get those wrong and the picture looks normal - it is just not true. FROM MONTH TWO IT IS CLOSER TO 30 SECONDS Every figure carries over by default, so you open only the two or three lines that moved, grouped into Calculated for you, Carried over, and Changed this month. Anything untouched for three months is flagged "N months since updated". Effortless, but not pretending. TWO NUMBERS YOU NEVER HAVE TO LOOK UP Mortgage: enter amount, term, rate, start month and repayment type once. The principal then steps down every month on its own, with no trip to your bank's app. Paid extra? Type the new figure; the schedule re-anchors to it. Car: depreciated smoothly from purchase price and date, so no cliff every January and no fake step in your trend line. FOUR HEALTH CHECKS - Debt-to-asset ratio - Months of expenses your liquid money would cover - Share of assets that earn a return - Monthly loan repayment as a share of income Each does two things: states your number, and states the range commonly cited alongside it. It never tells you what to do, and never names a product or an institution. RISING, OR BEING EATEN BY DEBT? From your last five records, one sentence: growing, flat, eroded by debt, or assets shrinking. "Eroded by debt" is why this exists. Savings climb every month, debt climbs faster, net worth quietly falls - invisible while you stare at the individual numbers. A BALANCE SHEET YOU CAN HAND TO SOMEONE Export a real PDF: assets left, liabilities plus net worth right, both columns totalling the same figure so a reader can check it. This period, last period, the change, and footnotes on how each line was measured. For a partner, an accountant, or a bank. Record monthly, every two months, or quarterly. Reminders follow whichever you pick. PRIVACY IS THE ARCHITECTURE, NOT A PROMISE - No networking code in this app. No URLSession, no third-party SDK, no analytics - No account, no server, no sign-up, no phone number - Switch on aeroplane mode and every feature still works - iOS complete file protection: once the phone is locked, not even the app can read it - Face ID / Touch ID app lock, and a masking mode that turns amounts into dots - Encrypted backup export (AES-256-GCM, your own password) for a new phone We collect nothing. Not as a policy choice, but because no route exists.
