About

ShakeIt reminds you when to take your medication, and keeps a record of what you took and when. It was built alongside a Parkinson's regimen, where the timing of a dose matters and the day is not the same all the way through. It works just as well as a plain reminder app. ONE TAP TO LOG A DOSE • Today is a checklist: the time, the medication, and one large circle to tap • Tap it again to clear a mistake — nothing asks you to confirm anything • Every dose is its own row, numbered within its own medication — “Dose 3 of 4” — so a tick means one pill and nothing else • What still needs taking sits above what is already done, and reorders itself as the day goes on • Skip a dose, or record that you took it at a different time, from the button beside it REMINDERS THAT FIT A REAL SCHEDULE • Fixed times, or a repeating interval that re-spaces itself from the dose you actually took, so a late morning pushes the whole day rather than bunching it up • As-needed medications sit on the main screen as one-tap buttons • Mark a medication Urgent and it keeps reminding you — eight times over two hours — until the dose is logged, with its own sound. Urgent reminders break through Focus. • Log a dose or snooze it straight from the notification, without opening the app • Eight reminder tones, all short and calm TRACK ON AND OFF, IF IT HELPS • Two buttons record ON (medication working) or OFF (symptoms returning) • Add symptoms and severity with a tap, or skip it — the entry is already saved • Correct the time afterwards, because a change is usually noticed some minutes after it starts • Turn the whole thing off in Settings if all you want is reminders PATTERNS, ONCE THERE ARE ENOUGH TO TRUST • After a fortnight of doses, Insights points out the time of day that runs late and the one that gets missed • Every finding says what it rests on — "across 14 doses" — so you can weigh it yourself • Notices when OFF episodes gather around a particular hour • Says what is going well, too • Hours ON and OFF across your waking day, and adherence over the last week or month TAKE IT TO YOUR APPOINTMENT • Export your whole history as a CSV spreadsheet • Opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets • Send it to a doctor straight from the share sheet • Back up everything to Files or iCloud Drive, and restore it later ON YOUR HOME SCREEN • A widget counting down to the next dose • ON and OFF buttons on the widget, and in Control Centre EASY ON THE HANDS Large targets throughout — the circle you tap to log a dose is half again the size Apple asks for, because that minimum assumes a steady hand. Times are chosen in five-minute steps, so there is no hunting for a single minute. Light or dark, or follow your phone. Undo instead of confirmation prompts. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There is no account and no server. Everything stays on your iPhone. The app contains no networking code at all, collects nothing, and tracks nothing. Delete the app and the data goes with it. ShakeIt is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing it shows should be used to change a medication regimen. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your treatment.Read more
