About

Logging a set should take two taps, not a number pad. TAP THE WEIGHT, DON'T TYPE IT Every other lift log hands you an empty number field between sets. Knurled hands you the weight itself. Tap the plates you put on the bar. Tap the dumbbell you pulled off the rack. Knurled draws it, does the math, and shows the total. Add one more and the number moves — no clearing the field and retyping 225 with chalk on your hands. It works the same way on everything in the building. Barbells with any bar weight, because your gym's safety squat bar is not the same as anyone else's. Plate-loaded machines, drawn as the horn and the plates rather than as a bar that isn't there. Dumbbells, cables, pin stacks, bodyweight, bodyweight plus a belt. Plates are colour-coded and sized the way they sit in the rack, so the bar on screen reads like the bar in front of you. The small plates get colours of their own, because three shades of grey are impossible to tell apart at arm's length in a busy gym. Prefer to type? Tap any number and enter it exactly. Knurled remembers your choice per exercise. BUILT FOR TRAINING THAT REPEATS Build your split once and run it. Knurled remembers what you lifted last time and suggests the next step as a weight you can actually load — the nearest the plates in your gym allow — rather than an abstract percentage. Supersets, rest timer, notes, and set-by-set history are all there. Progress is shown as adherence: planned sets against actual sets, so you can see whether you are following the programme you wrote, not just whether the numbers went up. NO ACCOUNT. NO SERVER. NO SUBSCRIPTION. There is no sign-up because there is nothing to sign up to. Your training history lives in a database on your phone and nowhere else. There is no account system, no cloud sync, and no analytics profile — not as a policy that could change, but because none of that was ever built. Anonymous crash reports are the only thing that ever leaves the device, and they contain no training data. Export everything to CSV whenever you want. It's your data, in a format you can actually open. DESIGNED FOR A GYM, NOT A DESK Dark by default. Large numerals you can read at arm's length. Tap targets sized for chalky hands. Colour is never the only signal — every plate carries its number, every change carries an arrow and a word. Knurled is made by one person who lifts four to six times a week and got tired of doing plate math with a barbell on his back.Read more
