About
Every morning, Alta asks how you are — and answers with one thing to do. Not a library to scroll through at seven in the morning. One session, chosen for the day you are actually having: how you are arriving, how much is in the tank, how long you have, and whether any part of you is asking for attention. Thirty seconds of tapping words, and then a voice to move with. WHAT A SESSION IS An audio guide, five, ten or twenty minutes long, that you follow with your ears rather than your eyes. Gentle yoga, stretching for a body that has been sitting too long, walks with a voice alongside, and breathing for winding down. Nothing to learn, no poses to copy from a screen, no music competing with the instructions. It plays with the phone in your pocket and the screen off. If you do look at the screen, there is one circle, breathing in and out at the pace you are meant to be breathing. No timer counting down, no progress bar filling up. Something to breathe with, not something to watch. WHAT ALTA DOES NOT DO There are no calories here, no step counts, no streaks, no charts, no leaderboards, and no percentage of anything. Alta does not measure you. After a session it asks one question — how do you feel now? — and over time it tells you, in a sentence, how sessions have tended to leave you feeling. That is the whole of it. If you take a day off, or a week, or a month, Alta says hello when you come back. It never tells you how long it has been. A SMALL THING TO EAT Alongside each session, one suggestion for the day — a glass of water within reach, something warm before bed. Always something to add, never something to give up. FREE, EVERY DAY A check-in, a session, and a nourish card, every day, at no cost. That is a whole app, and it stays free. Alta Plus opens the rest of the library: the twenty-minute sessions, the evening ones, and those written for a sore lower back, knees, or ankles. It is there when a short one is not the one you want. REMINDERS THAT KNOW WHEN TO STOP Pick a time and Alta will nudge you once a day, at most. Been away a few days? It nudges less. Been away a while? It goes quiet on its own — and starts again the moment you open the app. PRIVACY Everything you tell Alta stays on your phone. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server holding your check-ins. Alta collects no analytics and shows no ads. Subscriptions are handled by Apple. --- Alta Plus is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, after any free trial. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
