About
Most of us get far less daylight than we think, and almost none of it in the morning — the hours the body clock actually reads. Rhythm Light measures the light you are really in, scores the day against the sun rather than the clock, and names the one thing worth doing about it. MEASURED, NOT LOGGED If you wear an Apple Watch, Rhythm Light reads its Time in Daylight from the Health app. Nothing to remember, nothing to tap. If you don't, your phone's front camera becomes a light meter: hold it facing you, and the minutes you measure count toward your day. TODAY The day's daylight minutes, with morning and afternoon kept apart — because when you get your light matters as much as how much. A morning anchor chart marks the first real light of your day against your own average. A streak, if you want one. THE LIGHT METER A live lux readout that tells you what a room is actually worth. An overcast window is a hundred times brighter than a well-lit office, and it takes a meter to believe it. The app itself is painted by the light you're in — dark, dim, threshold, daylight, direct sun — so the screen changes as you walk to the window. THE LIGHT REPORT Yesterday's score, once the day is complete. Light hour by hour. Your history by week, month, six months or year. Every number is computed from your own readings. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS Coverage sits next to every finding — "15m in the light today, measured across 3 check-ins" — so a sampled day never passes as a watched one. The camera reading is an estimate, good to a band rather than to the lux, and the app says so plainly. PRIVACY The camera is read as a light sensor: exposure settings, not pixels. No photo or video is ever captured or stored, and it runs only while the app is open. Rhythm Light never writes to Health — it reads Time in Daylight and your sleep schedule, nothing else. Your readings are stored with your account so your history survives a new phone, and Delete Account removes all of it, from inside the app. FROM RHYTHM Rhythm makes a 100,000-lux sunlight generator for indoor days. This app is the measurement half: it shows you the gap. It is fully useful on its own, with or without the hardware. Rhythm Light is a wellness app. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for medical advice.Read more
Most of us get far less daylight than we think, and almost none of it in the morning — the hours the body clock actually reads. Rhythm Light measures the light you are really in, scores the day against the sun rather than the clock, and names the one thing worth doing about it.
MEASURED, NOT LOGGED
If you wear an Apple Watch, Rhythm Light reads its Time in Daylight from the Health app. Nothing to remember, nothing to tap. If you don't, your phone's front camera becomes a light meter: hold it facing you, and the minutes you measure count toward your day.
TODAY
The day's daylight minutes, with morning and afternoon kept apart — because when you get your light matters as much as how much. A morning anchor chart marks the first real light of your day against your own average. A streak, if you want one.
THE LIGHT METER
A live lux readout that tells you what a room is actually worth. An overcast window is a hundred times brighter than a well-lit office, and it takes a meter to believe it. The app itself is painted by the light you're in — dark, dim, threshold, daylight, direct sun — so the screen changes as you walk to the window.
THE LIGHT REPORT
Yesterday's score, once the day is complete. Light hour by hour. Your history by week, month, six months or year. Every number is computed from your own readings.
HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS
Coverage sits next to every finding — "15m in the light today, measured across 3 check-ins" — so a sampled day never passes as a watched one. The camera reading is an estimate, good to a band rather than to the lux, and the app says so plainly.
PRIVACY
The camera is read as a light sensor: exposure settings, not pixels.
FROM RHYTHM
Rhythm makes a 100,000-lux sunlight generator for indoor days. This app is the measurement half: it shows you the gap. It is fully useful on its own, with or without the hardware.
Rhythm Light is a wellness app. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for medical advice.
