About

Small steps of Judaism, one step every day. Psia is for anyone who wants a little more Judaism in daily life, without taking it all on at once. Start with a short portion of Tehillim and one small commitment of your own. The Siddur, the Tanakh and the calendar are there whenever you want them. In the Inspire tab, read short stories from the community and the Psia team, and take on the commitment behind one that moves you. Your commitments Pick a ready-made commitment (kabbalah) or write your own, set it for 7, 30 or 40 days or leave it open-ended, and check it off each day in My steps. Only the days you check off count, so a missed day moves the finish back by a day instead of resetting your progress. Pause any time, or add a gentle reminder at a time you pick. Each check mark brings a glow and a quiet chime, and a finished commitment can be shared as an image card. Tehillim, day by day Daily Tehillim follows the traditional monthly division by the Hebrew date: a short portion each day with an estimated reading time, and the whole book every month. When you finish the day's portion, the screen fills with golden light and shows your streak. At 7, 30, 100 and 365 days, a streak card is ready to share or save. If you miss a day, start a new streak the next day. Read the chapter for your current year of life (at 32, Psalm 33) and pin a chapter for each person you love. Highlight verses, star favorite chapters, choose from five text sizes, and keep your place with a 48-hour bookmark. Inspire Each post pairs a short story with a commitment, shared under a first name, anonymously or by the Psia team, and checked before it is published. Tap "I'm in too" to add that commitment to My steps. Send a heart or report a post. Post your own and follow it in My posts. Siddur and Tanakh, in Hebrew A Siddur in Nusach Edot HaMizrach and Ashkenaz, for weekdays and Shabbat: Shacharit, Mincha, Arvit, Kabbalat Shabbat, Mussaf, Kiddush and Havdalah, plus Birkat HaMazon and the bedtime Shema. Alongside it, the complete Tanakh with nikud. Prayer and scripture texts stay in Hebrew and open even offline. Set the app to English and the menus, dates and calendar follow, with a 1917 translation under each verse of Tehillim and the Tanakh. Calendar and Shabbat Chagim, fasts with start and end times, Rosh Chodesh, the weekly parasha and optional daily zmanim. Candle-lighting and Havdalah times cover over 500 cities and towns in Israel. Modeh Ani and Tehillim reminders come at times you choose. On Fridays, My steps shows candle-lighting time for your city. In Elul, Psia invites you to say Psalm 27 daily until Yom Kippur, and during the Omer it takes you to the count in the Siddur. A meat and dairy timer (1, 3 or 6 hours, following your custom) alerts you when the wait is over. A companion for learning and comfort Ask the AI companion about Tehillim, prayer, the parasha, festivals, customs and Jewish thought. Share what you're praying for, such as healing or livelihood, and it suggests a chapter of Tehillim to open in the reader. You can also ask about a passage while reading. It is not a rabbi and says so: for a personal halachic ruling, ask your rabbi. You can report any answer. Chat history is saved only on your phone. When the app is in English, so are the replies. Chat and Inspire need a connection. Widgets Put your Tehillim streak, a daily verse and today's commitments on your home screen in the colors you pick. During a meat and dairy wait, the countdown stays visible outside the app. Account and subscription Sign in to sync your streak, commitments, favorites and highlights across devices. You can delete your account and its data in Settings at any time. Psia is used with an auto-renewing Psia+ subscription, monthly or annual. You can cancel it in your store account, not by deleting your Psia account. Terms of Use: https://getpsia.app/terms Privacy Policy: https://getpsia.app/privacy Support: support@getpsia.appRead more
