Hue and Seek

You start as a small, blank white cartoon figure in a world full of color. Somewhere nearby, a hunter is counting down. What happens next is up to your eye and your nerve. Hue & Seek is a multiplayer hide-and-seek game where you don't hide behind things — you hide in plain sight. Stand still and the scene behind you is projected onto your body. Sample any color with the eyedropper, paint over the seams, pick a pose that breaks your human silhouette, and hold absolutely still. Do it well and the hunter walks right past you. Do it badly and you are the one odd shape in the room. PLAY RIGHT NOW, ALONE OR WITH FRIENDS Tap PLAY and a full match starts against bots — no waiting for other players, no connection needed. Three difficulty levels. When you want real opponents, Quick Play drops you into an open room, or share a six-character code with friends. HOW IT PLAYS • PREP — Camouflagers hide. Stand still where you want to hide and the background behind you — wall and floor, as the hunter will see it — appears on your body. Or aim the camera where the hunter will come from and tap CAMO. Retouch the seams with the brush and eyedropper, or tap COPY to take a color in one go. Pick one of 12 poses, hug a wall, or jump up onto a table, a car or a crate — then tap Ready. When everyone is ready the hunt starts early. • SEARCH — Hunters are released and sweep the area, looking for the one texture that doesn't belong: a seam that breaks, a shape that's too human, a color that's almost right. Touch a camouflager to catch them, or light them up with the toy Color Flashlight. Hiders can Look Around with the camera to see where the hunters are. • RESULT — Survive the clock and the camouflagers win. Find them all and the hunters do. Then "Where were they?" lights up every hiding spot. A LIVE STEALTH SCORE While you prepare, the game tells you how well you're actually blending. Your color match, your pose and your hiding spot combine into a stealth score from 0 to 100, updated as you work — so you learn what real camouflage looks like instead of guessing. FOUR MODES • Classic — hide, seek, survive the timer. • Infection — get caught and you join the hunters. The pack grows. • Double Side — both teams take a turn hiding; the better hunting run wins. • Reverse Guess — no touching. Hunters get a limited number of guesses and must point at what they believe is a painted player. FOUR ARENAS A whole City block — big enough that the hunt needs a longer clock — a House full of rooms and furniture, a Supermarket with aisle after aisle of shelves, and a Toy Garden among giant toys. Every one is packed with props and color variety, because a room with only one shade is a room with nowhere to hide. PLAY WITH FRIENDS Create a room, share the six-character code with one tap, and play from anywhere — you don't need to be on the same network. 2 to 12 players. ALSO IN THE BOX • Whistle at the hunter to taunt them — brave, or very stupid. Hiders also whistle by themselves every 45 seconds (the host can change it). • Free-flight spectator camera after you're caught. • Undo on your brush strokes, so one bad stroke doesn't cost you the round. • My Records: rounds, wins, win streak and best camouflage, saved on your device. Plus two Game Center leaderboards: Total Wins and Best Camouflage. • Optional clip capture: save the last 15 seconds and share the moment the hunter walked straight past you.
