About

Learning to read music is usually dull, slow and front-loaded with theory. That's why most people quit. Harmi flips it. You're reading real notes in the first few minutes, and it's fun enough that you come back tomorrow — the only reason anyone gets good at anything. By the end, you can look at a piece of sheet music and know what it says. WHERE YOU START Harmi asks you one question: how much can you read already? "Completely new" is the most common answer — but Harmi is built for both ends of that question: people who have never read a note, and players who already can and want practice that genuinely pushes them. Say you're new and you go straight into a warmup — no theory, no quiz, just sound and pattern. You'll read your first note within a couple of minutes of opening the app. Already read a bit? A quick check places you further along, so you skip what you know. WHAT IT ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE Short goes. A couple of minutes each. One idea at a time — Harmi shows you, you try it, you're done. Then you practice it in a game — reading music is a reflex, not a fact, and reflexes only come from reps you enjoy. YOU'LL WATCH YOURSELF GET BETTER You start out a Listener and end up a Maestro. The ten ranks in between aren't points — each one is something you can genuinely do. Beat Keeper, when rhythm lands. Note Reader, when the staff goes quiet and legible. Streaks, hearts and three-star lessons are what bring you back tomorrow. Shields cover a missed day; a perfect run banks a Grace Note that forgives your next slip. Run out of hearts and lessons pause till tomorrow — the games and drills stay open, always. SIX WAYS TO PRACTICE • On Air — jam with the band while the groove builds under you • Playlist — play real songs you already know by ear • Speed Drill — 45 seconds against your own best • Moving Notes — sight-read notes as they scroll past • Melody Simon — hear a phrase, tap it back • Survival — pure ear training, one mistake and you're out Every one puts real notation on a real staff — you're reading music, not tapping colored buttons that stand in for it. That's why it transfers the moment you open real sheet music. Chase personal bests, climb the heat in On Air, or survive on ear alone; the ceiling is a long way up. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN More than 80 lessons across 12 chapters, in the order the material actually builds: • The treble staff — every line and space, until they're instant • Rhythm — note values, rests, 4/4 and 3/4, ties, dotted notes • Pitch and the piano — half and whole steps, scales, sharps and flats • Keys and intervals — key signatures, fifths and octaves by ear • Chords — major, minor, diminished, augmented, inversions, I-IV-V • Expression — dynamics, tempo, articulation, full sight-reads • The bass clef — the whole thing again, from the bottom up WHEREVER YOU'RE COMING FROM Some arrive having never read a note. Others played for years without building the reading to match. The path runs from your first note to sight-reading in both clefs — you join it where you actually are. • No instrument required — your phone is enough • Play without an account, or make one and it follows you anywhere Harmi is with you the whole way — part radio host, part teacher, endlessly patient, never disappointed in you. SUBSCRIPTION Harmi is free to start.
