About

ValuesBook is a calm, occasional self-reflection tool — a mirror, not a test. Sort the classic Personal Values Card Sort (Miller, C'de Baca, Matthews & Wilbourne, 2001): one value per card, into three simple piles — Very Important, Important, Not Important. Narrow what you kept to a ranked top ten. Then, if you like, sit with the more interesting question: what did you set aside, and what kind of "not important" is it — never mattered, used to matter, something you reject, or a direction rather than a goal? There are no streaks, no scores, no notifications nagging you back. ValuesBook is built to be used a few times a year, at the moments that matter — a new year, a birthday, a crossroads. FREE, FOREVER • The full card sort — the original 83 values (language preserved as published) plus clearly marked contemporary additions like Courage, Gratitude, and Belonging — or sort the classic 83 alone • Add your own values • Ranked results and pile lists, saved with their date • Markdown export of your latest sort • Optional iCloud sync (your private database — never our servers), full backup & restore, and one-tap Erase All Data • One optional, quiet reminder at the cadence you choose — yearly, six months, or a date that means something to you VALUESBOOK PRO — ONE PURCHASE, YOURS FOREVER ($9.99, NO SUBSCRIPTION) • The Values Map — your sort on the Schwartz circle: where your values gather, what pulls in tension, and your inner Self/Growth core at the center • A tentative, plain-language profile — offered as open questions, never verdicts • Reflections — why the kept values matter, and what each set-aside really means • Your history — every sort saved; see exactly what's moved between visits • The Values Report — your whole story as a document: every sort, its profile, the movement between them, and all your reflections (Markdown, PDF, plus complete data as JSON) PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE Your values and reflections are intimate. Everything stays on your device and, only if you turn sync on, in your own iCloud. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking — nothing ever touches a server of ours, and your reflections are unreadable to anyone but you by design. Built on the public-domain instrument by Miller, C'de Baca, Matthews & Wilbourne (2001), with the interpretive map based on Schwartz's Theory of Basic Values. ValuesBook is a personal reflection tool, not a clinical assessment.Read more
