About

Before children have the words, they have the feelings. SmileyWorld SKIDOS Happier Minds helps them find both. A child can feel frustration, worry, or disappointment long before they can say any of those words out loud. That gap between the size of the feeling and the size of the vocabulary is where a lot of difficult mornings begin. Learning to recognize a feeling and name it is the first step toward learning to handle it. That is what SmileyWorld SKIDOS Happier Minds is built to do. WHAT YOUR CHILD DOES Every day starts with a mood check-in. Your child chooses the Smiley that matches how they feel, and it stays with them on the home screen: no scores, no judgment, no being told to cheer up. From there, five islands to explore, built on the five competencies of the CASEL framework used in schools around the world: knowing yourself, managing yourself, understanding others, getting along with people, and making good choices. Each island holds a set of skills, and each skill is taught three ways: an animated story that shows the feeling in action, an interactive activity that lets your child try it, and a story to read together afterward. The same idea, three times over, because nothing sticks on the first pass. NO FEELING IS A FAILURE Sadness, anger, and worry are not problems to be fixed inside the app. They are feelings to be recognized. When a child gets something wrong, they are encouraged to try again. Nothing is timed, nothing is ranked, and no one is told that one Smiley is better than another. SCREEN TIME THAT GIVES SOMETHING BACK We know the worry. This is screen time with a purpose: a few quiet minutes that send your child back into the day with a word for what they are feeling, and an idea of what to do next. - No ads, ever - No third-party links or in-app browsing - No chat or user-to-user contact - Designed with input from child development specialists FOR PARENTS Short sessions, designed to end well rather than to keep your child playing. The language your child learns inside the app is the language you can use with them at the dinner table. -Privacy Policy: http://skidos.com/privacy-policy -Terms & Conditions: https://skidos.com/terms -Support: support@skidos.comRead more
