amal — pray first.

there are five moments in each day that belong to something greater than the screen in your hand. amal is made to protect these moments, as many or as few as you choose. when a prayer window opens, the apps you've chosen step aside — held by Apple's own Screen Time framework — until you've prayed. a companion guide is there for every position and every word, whether you're learning, returning, or simply want the company. and every prayer you make is kept, in a record that fills a little more each day. “have you prayed yet?” pick the apps that tend to take your time — social, video, games, whatever they are for you. you set what, amal sets when: each window is calculated for where you are and for your school of thought. reach for one of those apps during an active window and, in place of the feed, you'll find that one question. log the prayer and everything opens again. you can ease blocking for any prayer, at any time, and every shield lifts on its own when the window closes. every word, and what it means. from takbir to salam, the guide covers all five daily prayers, position by position — the Arabic, the transliteration, and the meaning of every line. turn on the voice-enabled guide and it follows as you recite, lighting each word as you say it and moving with you through the prayer. recognition happens entirely on your phone — nothing is recorded, and nothing leaves your device. the days you showed up. every prayer you confirm is kept in a calendar you can read back, month by month. three streaks run side by side, and any of them can be paused rather than reset when life happens — it picks up right where you left off when you're ready. milestones are marked as your consistency builds. and each morning, the home screen opens on a single hadith, attributed and graded. yours alone. no account, nothing to sign in to. your prayer log lives on your phone and nowhere else. apps are chosen inside Apple's own picker, so amal never sees which ones. location is read only while amal is open, and only to calculate prayer times for where you are. analytics are anonymous, and one switch in settings turns them off. amal premium. every feature is yours for the first 14 days. after that, amal premium is $5.99 a month or $39.99 a year. subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your App Store settings; payment is charged to your Apple ID. privacy policy: https://ryansharier.github.io/amal/privacy terms of use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ amal — عمل — means deeds. build your amal. your book is waiting.
