About

SMLtags was built by an EMT frustrated at how often he was forced to treat patients without having their critical medical information available. SMLtags are unique because they put the information a first responder needs where they are most likely to look for it, when it is needed most. HOW IT WORKS You enter your medical information before an emergency happens, when you're calm and can think clearly. You then pair a specially designed NFC tag, an SMLtag, to your account and place that tag on your refrigerator, the back windshield of your car, on your bag, or anywhere that you tend to be. In an emergency, a first responder simply holds their phone up to the tag, confirms they are responding to an emergency, and they are able to access your profile, your critical medical data, and treat you properly, armed with your personal information. They don't have to install anything and your phone doesn't have to be unlocked or even present. WHAT YOUR PROFILE HOLDS Your vital data (age, height, weight, etc.), emergency contacts, and notes are included at no cost. If you have allergies, medications, medical conditions, or medical history that you want to include, an inexpensive paid plan is available. To store documents, such as advance directives, you can also opt for a premium plan. FAMILIES One subscription can cover everyone in your household. Only those aged 16 and over count toward the household size, and children under 16 are covered at no additional charge. Each member is in control of what data, if any, they share with other family members. PRIVATE AND SECURE None of your medical data is ever stored on the SMLtag itself. It only contains a random set of characters that a verified first responder uses to locate your profile. If your tag gets lost or stolen, you can simply unpair it from your account and replace it with a new one. No data is compromised. If your profile is ever accessed in an emergency, you receive a notification with information about the circumstances, and the access is logged and retained for at least seven years. SUBSCRIPTIONS SMLtags Paid adds allergies, medications, conditions and medical history. SMLtags Premium adds medical documents on top of everything in Paid. Both are sold monthly or annually for households of one to ten members aged 16 and over. Paid costs $2.99 to $7.49 per month, or $29.99 to $74.99 per year, depending on household size. Premium costs $3.99 to $9.89 per month, or $39.99 to $98.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Terms of Use: https://www.smltags.com/terms-and-conditions/ Privacy Policy: https://www.smltags.com/privacy-policy/Read more
