PowerBill

PowerBill shows what electricity costs in Spain, hour by hour. Open it and the first thing you see is the price right now — and whether that is cheap, average or dear for today. No sign-up, no setup, no account. WHAT IT DOES • Now: the price this hour, with and without tax, and where it sits in today's range. • The day ahead: every hour as a chart, with the full list underneath. • Best hours: the cheapest window to run a washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, water heater or electric car, and an estimate of what it saves against the priciest slot. • Compare: the regulated tariff against the wholesale market, side by side. • History: past days and months, so you can see how today compares. • Home screen widget: today's price without opening the app. • An optional notification when the cheapest hour of the day starts. WHERE THE PRICES COME FROM Red Eléctrica's public REData service: the PVPC regulated tariff that most homes pay, and the OMIE wholesale market that generators are paid. Both are shown, because they are not the same number and the difference is worth seeing. Every price appears with and without tax. The figure on your bill is not the figure in the market, and PowerBill does not quietly pick one for you. BUILT TO BE READ • Colour-vision modes for eight kinds of colour blindness and a price band is never signalled by colour alone. • Eight typefaces, light and dark, and larger text sizes throughout. • Thirteen languages: Spanish, English, Catalan, Basque, German, French, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Ukrainian and Arabic — which reads right to left, properly. • An optional haptic cue that taps out today's price band in Morse, so you can check on the way out of the door without looking at anything. • On iPhone, an optional Liquid Glass appearance. PRIVACY PowerBill has no accounts. It never collects your name, your email address or your location. Analytics are off until you say otherwise. You are asked once, plainly, and you can change your mind in Settings at any time. No ads. Free.
