About
Sherlock Holmes at the point. Paul Bunyan at center. $15 to fix the rest. Once Upon a Dunk is a basketball management game where legends, monsters and people from history play for your team. You don't control the players. You build the roster, then watch sixteen games play out like a broadcast. HOW A SEASON WORKS You get dealt five random walk-ons, one at every position. Could be Abraham Lincoln at center. Could be a frog. Then you spend your $15 cap. Every position has one player at each price, $5 down to $1, so you can't buy everybody good. Spend it where it counts. Some players come with a special, like Clutch or Lockdown, and the right pairs make a combo. Turn any card over to see what it does. After game 8 there's a trade deadline. Take a trade, cut someone and sign a free agent, or both. Twenty-eight teams, and the top eight make the playoffs. Every round is a series. New York, LA, Chicago and Boston are stacked, and titles are rare. That's the point... a title here means something. THE ROSTER 80 characters, all from public domain stories and history. Robin Hood, Hercules, Cleopatra, Sun Wukong, Count Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster and a lot more. Everybody you field goes into your binder, along with your playoff trips and titles. THE DAILY Once a day, everybody gets the same deal: the same walk-ons and the same prices. One shot each. Then you compare records. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO No account, nothing to sign into. Your seasons stay on your phone and the game plays offline. No energy timers, and nothing for sale that helps you win. No real NBA players or teams. This league is its own thing. It's free with ads. There's an ad between seasons, plus optional ones you can choose to watch for a redraw. A one-time $1.99 purchase turns off every ad, and you still get the redraws. That's the only thing for sale.Read more
