This is a viewing app that allows you to read the complete 25 volumes of *Donguibogam* side-by-side with the original Classical Chinese text, a full Korean translation, and annotations. Compiled in 1613 by Royal Physician Heo Jun at the Royal Medical Office of Joseon under royal command, it is an officially commissioned medical treatise. The original text is available on the Korea Copyright Commission’s Sharing Plaza (expired works) and the Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine’s Database of Classics of Oriental Medicine. The punctuation, Korean translation, and annotations were newly created by this app, and existing Korean translations have not been reprinted. Old units of measurement, names of medicinal herbs, and cited sources are indicated in the annotations wherever necessary. == Free / Full Volume Eoram == The first two articles of each chapter, the first item of each section regarding medicinal herbs, and the first acupoint of each meridian regarding acupoints are unlocked for free. The table of contents and search results list are available for viewing in their entirety at any time. Searching and voice search are free up to 3 times a day combined. If a searched location is locked, we will unlock it for 30 minutes for up to 3 locations per day. Switching to the Full Volume Eoram (one-time purchase) unlocks all articles of the 109 chapters, 1,403 types of medicinal herbs, and 396 acupoints, provides unlimited searching, and removes advertisements. == Notice == This app contains translations of classical texts, not medical information. The prescriptions, medicinal ingredients, dosages, and acupuncture points in the text are merely records from 17th-century medical texts and do not constitute modern guidelines for diagnosis, treatment, or medication. Do not follow these instructions arbitrarily; please consult a Korean medicine doctor for any health issues. Warnings have been added in footnotes regarding medicinal ingredients with a high risk of poisoning, such as mercury, arsenic, cinnabar, and croton, as well as treatments that are not practiced today. Animal-derived medicinal ingredients, such as musk, rhinoceros horn, tiger bone, and pangolin, whose trade is prohibited by international conventions (CITES) and domestic laws, also appear in the text. These are simply verbatim reproductions of records from 17th-century literature; they are neither available nor usable today, and this app does not recommend the harvesting, trading, or use of such ingredients in any way.
