PodHopper

PodHopper is a podcast player with nothing behind a paywall, no ads anywhere in the app, and no interest in what you listen to. NO PAYWALLS There is no paid tier. There is nothing to unlock, no trial to start and no prompts to upgrade. Every feature listed below is simply part of the app. NO ADS No banners, no sponsored podcasts in search results, no audio ads inserted into your episodes. The only thing in your feed is the podcast you subscribed to. PRIVACY BY DEFAULT PodHopper carries no advertising libraries, no analytics and no crash reporting services. Your listening history is not collected, profiled or sold, because it is never sent anywhere to begin with. Sync is optional, and when you use it your data goes to your own account and nowhere else. BUILT FOR LISTENING - Subscribe to any podcast by search or by pasting a feed URL - Folders to organise your shows, and playlists that fill themselves based on rules you set - Up Next queue with autoplay when an episode ends - Bookmarks to mark a spot you want to come back to - Chapter support, including skipping the chapters you do not want - Sleep timer - Variable speed, trim silence and volume boost - Download for offline listening, with automatic downloads per podcast - Archive episodes you are done with - Import and export your subscriptions as an OPML file, so your library is always yours to take elsewhere YOUR DEVICES, IN STEP Your playback positions, played episodes, subscriptions and Up Next queue follow you between devices. Pause in the kitchen and pick it up in the car at the same second. Finish an episode on your phone and it is marked finished everywhere. IN THE CAR PodHopper supports Android Auto, and there is a full version for cars with Google built in. Pairing the car takes one short code shown on the car screen, entered once on your phone. No password typing in a parked car. The car picks up where you left off when you start it. AROUND THE HOUSE Cast to a Chromecast or a TV with Chromecast built in, with full control from your phone. WHY IT EXISTS Podcasting started as an open format that anyone could publish to and anyone could listen to. Most apps now sit between you and that, selling subscriptions, inserting ads or quietly building a profile of your habits. PodHopper does none of that. It is a player. It plays your podcasts and then leaves you alone. Feedback is welcome. There is a Share logs with developers option in Settings, About if something goes wrong.
