Inventory Theorem Taking inventory in a real-world operation involves challenges that go beyond the counting itself: items in difficult locations, teams working in parallel, unstable connections in the warehouse, and the risk of losing everything if the app crashes mid-process. The Inventory Theorem was designed to solve each of these issues. How it works When opening the app, the operator sees the list of ongoing inventories. Upon selecting one, they choose how to work: using the camera scanner, pointing at the product's barcode, or navigating through the inventory list and tapping on each item to register the quantity. For each confirmed item, they decide the counting behavior: replace the previous value—when a single person is counting—or accumulate, adding to what has already been registered. This second mode allows multiple people to count the same inventory at the same time, with the totals being added automatically. Scanner Barcode reading uses the camera in real time and recognizes the main formats on the market — EAN-13, EAN-8, CODE-128, CODE-39, QR-Code, among others. To avoid accidental double reading, the app ignores the same code for 2.5 seconds after the first reading. When the code is not readable by the camera, the operator manually types using a numeric keypad that appears directly on the screen, without opening the standard phone keyboard. Counting Screen Each item displays code, description, reference, unit, and physical location in the stock — aisle, rack, shelf — to facilitate navigation in the physical space. The product photo is also displayed, helping to confirm the item before registering. Items controlled by batch have special treatment: upon confirming the quantity, the operator distributes the total among the available batches. Offline Counts are saved locally on the device immediately, without depending on a connection. Synchronization with the server happens in the background as soon as the network is available — the operator never needs to wait or repeat a count due to signal loss. Settings The app allows you to adjust the behavior according to each company's operation: the default identification field can be a shortened code, reference, or barcode; decimal places accept 0, 2, or 3 digits; it is possible to activate the mode that automatically confirms quantity 1 without opening the keyboard, speeding up the process in high-volume counts. Teorema Inventário is in its 4th version, reflecting the product's maturity — a solution that has gone through generations of real-world use and has reached its current most complete, fast, and reliable form.
