About

During ensemble rehearsal, it's hard to tell whether your part is "a bit flat" or whether the whole band has drifted sharp. Ensemble Tuner analyzes multiple notes simultaneously and visualizes each pitch's deviation in real time. ■ Polyphonic note detection Using a polyphonic pitch-detection engine (Basic-Pitch) running entirely on-device, Ensemble Tuner recognizes multiple pitches at once — not one note at a time. See all the notes in a chord simultaneously. Ideal for wind bands, string ensembles, choirs, and orchestras. ■ Just intonation target line A blue line on each tuner bar marks the just intonation sweet spot. Tuning to just intonation instead of equal temperament makes chords blend and resonate. Major 3rd target: −14¢, Perfect 5th: +2¢. ■ Real-time chord detection Automatically identifies chord names from the detected notes. See "Bb Major," "Cm7," and more while you play. ■ Adjustable reference pitch Change A4 from 430 to 450 Hz in 1 Hz steps. Default is 442 Hz, standard for wind bands and orchestras. ■ 100% on-device processing No internet connection needed. All audio processing happens locally on your device in real time. No audio data is sent anywhere. ■ Spectrum view (optional) A heat-color frequency spectrum panel shows detected note positions as orange vertical markers. ■ Best used for Tuning sessions, long-tone practice, and held harmonies — any time notes are sustained. Like a guitar polyphonic tuner, the approach is "play, hold, and check." It is not designed to track rapidly changing chords in a fast-moving performance.Read more
