Save to Files for uploads with a size limit, save a new copy to Photos, or share with another app. PNG can preserve transparency. Padding and colour controls appear when they affect the result. Open still JPEG, PNG and HEIC/HEIF images. Live Photos use the still image only. Copies use standard dynamic range and sRGB colour for upload compatibility. JPEG compression can reduce detail, and some combinations of dimensions and file-size limit cannot be achieved. A file-size limit is a maximum, not an exact byte count. Photo providers may download your selection, and Photos or receiving services may transform a copy later. Use Files when you need the exact verified file.
