About

Type a station name. Move your train. Learn along the way. Rail Typing combines typing practice with language learning on real railway routes. Build familiarity with Japanese kana, romaji input, station-name readings, and English spelling as you travel from one station to the next. PRACTICE JAPANESE AND ENGLISH Choose from romaji, kana, kanji, English, listening, and multiple-choice modes, depending on the route. Connect Japanese readings with typed letters, practice kanji using your input method, or spell out London station names in English. In listening mode, hear a station name and type your answer. START AT YOUR LEVEL New to kana? Begin with multiple-choice questions. Already reading Japanese? Try romaji input with optional key hints. As you gain confidence, explore kanji and listening modes or work toward a faster, more accurate run. EXPLORE REAL RAILWAY ROUTES Ride through Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Sapporo, and other Japanese cities, or explore routes in London. Real station names and station sequences give each practice session a start, a destination, and a reason to keep going. TURN PRACTICE INTO A CHALLENGE Try the daily route, race other players online, or chase a ghost record. Improve your personal best one station at a time. Online races and leaderboards require an internet connection, and some features require signing in. SEE YOUR PROGRESS Review your completion time, typing speed, accuracy, and commonly mistyped characters. Track your practice streak, collect achievement stamps, and share result cards. Widgets and optional daily reminders help you return for your next ride. The interface supports English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. Play with the on-screen keyboard or an external keyboard. FREE ROUTES AND THE ALL-LINES PASS Practice the Yamanote Line and the daily free route at no cost. Other routes offer a short preview. Unlock every route with an All-lines pass, available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account subscription settings. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase. Prices and purchase terms are shown on the in-app purchase screen. Make every station a chance to practice. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://api.railtyping.com/privacyRead more
