About
Be idle. On purpose. Idle gives you an hour of play a day, whenever you want it. Work stays at work. The rest of your day happens off your phone. Set two rules one time, then Idle gets out of the way. AN HOUR OF PLAY Pick your Play apps: games, social, video, or whole categories and websites. You set a certain amount of time per day. Spend it at lunch or after dinner. When it's gone, go do something that isn't on your phone. WORK STAYS AT WORK Pick your Work apps. They're open all through work hours, but you set a limit on minutes after work hours. Work email stays at the office, even when the office is your kitchen. FRICTION, NOT PUNISHMENT Used your time? Wait 10 minutes before you can unlock the apps. You can always have more, just not on impulse. Changed your mind? Tap Never mind. BUILT FOR REAL SCHEDULES - Allowances follow your day, not the calendar. A late night still counts as the same evening, and there's no reset at midnight to game. - Night shifts are handled. Work 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM and Idle understands. - Pick your work days. Days off get their own rhythm. - No work hours at all? Play still gets its hour. - Choose whether Play is open during work hours or not. SET IT ONCE No pause button and no holiday mode. Looser rules start tomorrow. Tighter rules start now. A GOOD HOST, NOT A COACH No streaks, no scores, no charts about what went wrong. Idle never shouts or counts your failures, and it always tells you when something opens again. ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN While you wait, a Live Activity and the Dynamic Island count down to your five minutes. A quiet notification tells you when they're open. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no analytics, no servers. Your settings stay on your iPhone.
