About

KaldriMephex is a prism refraction and light path design app for students, teachers and optics enthusiasts. Enter the refractive index of the prism and the surrounding medium, the prism apex angle and the angle of incidence, and you will see drawn how light refracts at the first surface, travels inside the prism, refracts again at the exit surface and splits into the colours of the spectrum. The app calculates refraction angles, the critical angle, total deviation and dispersion deviation, and warns about total internal reflection. Free water and crown glass prisms as well as PDF, CSV and JSON export work for free. The Pro version unlocks flint and diamond, Dove and right-angle prisms, the full spectrum, multi-prism light paths and DXF diagrams.Read more
