About

Renovating a room turns into a hundred small decisions, and most of them are forgotten by the weekend. Plaster & Plan keeps them in one place, room by room. Take a before photo the day you start, a during photo when the walls are open, and an after photo when the dust sheets come off. Drag the slider between any two of them and watch the room change. Share the comparison as a single image when someone asks what you have been up to. Measure once. Enter your wall lengths, ceiling height and the doors and windows, and the app works out the net wall area, the floor area and the perimeter. From those numbers it tells you how many litres of paint you need for two coats, how many tiles and boxes including a waste allowance, how many lengths of skirting after the doorways come off, how many packs of flooring and how many rolls of wallpaper. Every estimate can drop straight into that room's materials list. The materials list is a shopping list with prices, suppliers and a status for each line: to buy, ordered, on site. It runs against the room budget so you can see the overspend coming before it arrives. Snags are the small things that are never quite right. Log them as you spot them, give them a priority, attach a photo, and tick them off when they are fixed. Deliveries, tradesperson visits, skip collections and inspections go in the agenda with an alert before they happen. Drying timers cover the other half of the job: start one when the emulsion goes on, the silicone is run or the grout is in, and the app tells you when it is safe to carry on. The sketch pad draws the room to scale. Drag to place walls that snap to the corners, drop doors and windows onto a wall, and read the perimeter and floor area off the bottom of the screen. Save it to the room and reuse the figures in your measurements. Twenty step-by-step guides cover the jobs most people do themselves: preparing walls, cutting in and rolling, mist coating fresh plaster, tiling a splashback, regrouting, resealing a bath, laying laminate, fitting skirting, patching plaster, bleeding radiators, draught-proofing and more. Tools, method, drying times and the tip that saves the job. FEATURES • Before, during and after photo timeline per room, with a drag-to-compare slider • Camera and photo library, with the comparison saved or shared as one image • Paint, tile, adhesive, grout, skirting, flooring and wallpaper calculators • Materials list with costs, suppliers, purchase status and a budget meter • Snag list with priorities, photos and progress • Reminders for deliveries and trades, plus drying and curing timers • Scaled floor-plan sketch pad with walls, doors, windows, perimeter and area • Twenty illustrated DIY guides with tickable steps • Search across rooms, snags, materials, agenda and guides • Twenty milestones that unlock as the work progresses • Four hand-mixed themes, light and dark, metric or imperial, your currency Everything is stored on your device. There is no account, no sync, no analytics, no ads, and the app works with the phone in flight mode on a site with no signal.Read more
