About

Pause before opening distracting apps. ReasonGate requires a freshly typed essay for a timed break or deletion of a blocking rule. Choose 25–1,000 words, or 50–2,000 characters for Chinese, Japanese and Thai, and a 15–60-minute break. Choose which apps and websites to block or allow. Set a daily usage limit or a daily schedule of allowed times. Creating a rule requires no writing. Saved rules cannot be edited or switched off. To change a saved rule, type its required explanation to delete it, then create a new rule. Apple’s adult website filter works in supported browsers. Enabling it requires no writing. Before enabling it, choose the length of the text required to disable it. This saved length and counting unit cannot change while the filter is enabled. Temporary app access does not disable the website filter. Copy, paste, drag-and-drop, dictation, and Writing Tools are disabled in the essay editor. Type with your keyboard, including supported language input methods. Essay text is discarded when you leave. Rules and unlock records stay on your device. Letters and numbers count toward character limits; spaces, punctuation and emoji do not. No account, analytics, advertising, or essay uploads. Personal Screen Time permission can be revoked in iOS Settings. Essays are checked for length, not meaning. Individual keystroke automation cannot be reliably detected. Daily budgets include earlier activity that day. Background enforcement depends on iOS. Website filtering does not inspect every app’s native content. Free download. Blocking features require an auto-renewing subscription: US $4.99/month or $39.99/year. Both plans include the same features; no trial. Apple shows your local price and charges your account on confirmation. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in your Apple Account settings. Existing protection remains after expiry; removal stays free with its required essay.
