About

A simple chromatic tuner that runs entirely on your Apple Watch. No iPhone app, no account, no ads. Raise your wrist, play a note and tune until it turns green. Most watch tuners are just companions for a phone app. This one is built for the watch and works on its own, so your phone can stay in your case, your pocket or at home. HOW IT WORKS • Big, easy-to-read note name, readable at arm's length or on a music stand • Needle arc shows how many cents flat or sharp you are • Orange means flat, red means sharp, green means in tune • Smooth, steady needle that doesn't jump around • Add the Tuner button to your watch face and it opens with one tap WORKS WITH ANY INSTRUMENT It's a chromatic tuner, so it shows whatever note you play: • Guitar (standard and alternate tunings like Drop D and DADGAD) • Bass, including 5-string low B • Ukulele, mandolin and banjo • Violin, viola, cello and double bass • Trumpet, trombone, French horn, tuba and other brass • Flute, clarinet, saxophone and other woodwinds • Voice SIMPLE ON PURPOSE There's almost nothing to set up. The only settings are the reference pitch (A = 430 to 450 Hz, default 440) and whether notes show as sharps or flats (C# or Db). PRIVATE The microphone is used only to hear your instrument. All sound is analyzed on your watch, never recorded, never stored and never sent anywhere. No data is collected. Made by a trombone player who got tired of pulling out his phone at rehearsal.Read more
