About
EQUATRO is a maths logic puzzle where numbers meet crosswords. Every row and every column is an equation, and every sign you place has to keep both of them true at once. No subscription. No ads. No internet permission. Pay once. HOW IT PLAYS The board is a k×k lattice of numbers with empty operator slots between them. Each row is an equation, each column is an equation, and every line ends in a goal number. Tap a slot, choose +, −, × or ÷, and watch the goals light up. - Rows are solved left to right, columns from top to bottom. - Everything runs strictly in order, with no operator precedence: 6 × 2 − 3 means 12, then 9. - Every slot is shared by one row and one column, so a sign that fixes one line can break another. - You win when every row and every column reaches its goal. Each puzzle has exactly one solution. A green line is a clue, not a promise: several signs can make a single row correct, but only one full set works for the whole board. Guessing gets you through the first easy boards. After that, you have to deduce. There is no clock forcing your hand. 100,000+ LEVELS, COMPUTED NOT DOWNLOADED EQUATRO never downloads a level file. Every level is generated on your device by a deterministic algorithm, so level 4,217 is the same puzzle for every player, on every device, forever. Boards grow from compact 2×2 grids to 5×5 marathons, with bigger numbers, fewer starting clues and more lines that look right but are not. The difficulty rises and falls in small waves, so a tough puzzle is usually followed by a breather. The level browser shows your progress and stars, and when you are stuck you can skip ahead ten levels and come back later. DAILY CHALLENGE AND STREAKS Once a day, everyone gets the same Daily Challenge. Solve it to grow your streak, watch the calendar fill up, and replay past days whenever you like. FIVE THEMES, LIGHT AND DARK Make the board feel like yours. Choose Cute, Cool, Fun, Solid or Pro, each with its own colours, typeface and tile shapes, and each in a light and a dark version. Follow the system setting or pick a mode by hand, with a live preview of every theme before you commit. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - One purchase. Pay once and every level, every daily and every theme is yours. - No ads, ever. - No subscription, no in-app purchases, no coins or hints to buy. - No account and no sign-in. - No analytics, no tracking, nothing collected. - No network access of its own, so it plays the same on a plane or in flight mode. - iCloud sync can keep your progress and stats current across your devices. It is best-effort: the app works fully offline and never needs an account. MADE FOR EVERYONE - VoiceOver support: every slot, number and goal is described aloud, and you can jump to the lines that are not yet satisfied. - Colour-blind assist adds check and cross shapes to every goal, so you never rely on green and red alone. - Dynamic Type follows your text size, and Reduce Motion is respected. - Large tiles, a left-handed layout, plus sound and haptics you can switch off. - Full Arabic localisation with right-to-left play: the board itself mirrors, not just the menus, and you can keep equations left-to-right if you prefer. - Available in 45 languages. - iPad: multi-window play, full keyboard and pointer control, every size class and orientation. WHO IT IS FOR If you enjoy Sudoku, Kakuro, number crosswords or any puzzle where a small rule leads to a satisfying click, EQUATRO is built for you. It is also a friendly way to sharpen mental maths: early boards use small numbers, and the difficulty climbs at your pace. One puzzle at a time. One price. No strings.
