About

Clean, fast, private browsing with ads and trackers blocked on the device. Rain is a private browser for iPhone and iPad. Type an address or a search and the page opens in a tab. On a phone the bar sits at the bottom. On a larger screen it sits at the top. A new tab asks you to search or enter an address. Ordinary tabs record a history you can open from the History list. A private tab stays separate from those tabs and leaves no history. You can open several tabs, switch between them, and close the ones you are finished with. Shields block ads and trackers on the device. Each site has its own control, so you can turn Shields down for one page and turn them back up afterward. The panel shows how many were blocked on this page and in total. Filter lists are included for first launch and then refresh from their publishers. From a page you can go back and forward, add a bookmark, copy the address, share it, or switch between the mobile site and the desktop site. Settings is where you choose a search engine and turn the default Shields control on or off. Playlist is for a video you have opened in the browser. Add it with Add to Playlist in the address bar or the More menu, or with a long press on the video. Rain plays that video in its own player. You can change the speed, turn shuffle on, and set repeat to off, all, or one. The player includes a sleep timer, and Picture in Picture and AirPlay when the system allows them. Folders group items. Recently Played shows what you have already played. The Playlist holds 10 items. This version has no purchases. An item that only has a page opens that page in the browser.Read more
