About
SourPro walks a bake from the first mix to the oven, step by step, with the clock running only where a clock belongs. A notification calls you back to the dough when it needs you — the folds, the shaping, the oven — and the waits between are paced to the temperature of your kitchen — a cool room stretches the plan, a warm one tightens it. Tap "step done" as you go; the plan reflows from where you actually are. Eighteen recipes ship in the app, from a same-day house loaf to baguettes, focaccia, ciabatta, bagels, burger buns and Neapolitan pizza dough three ways — sourdough, poolish and biga. Every one is written out as baker's percentages, scaled to the number of loaves you want, with the weights printed on the step where you need them. The Starter tab keeps your jar alive: name it, log feedings, and get reminded when it's hungry. The Calculator turns any recipe into numbers you can adjust — hydration, salt, levain — and tells you what each change does to the bread. The Bread Book keeps every bake with its notes, its rating and its photographs. The Pantry knows what's on the shelf and what's running low. Reading the Loaf explains what went wrong when something does — dense crumb, flat loaf, gummy middle — in plain words. Bakes survive the app being closed, the phone rebooting, and being ignored for twelve hours; the timeline is computed, not counted. One purchase. No account, no subscription, no analytics. There is no way for anything to leave your phone, because the app contains no way to send it.Read more
