Words are spoken by the Japanese voice built into iOS. Word readings and meanings are checked against JMdict, the Japanese-Multilingual Dictionary of the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group (www.edrdg.org), used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license (creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0). Word lists: open-anki-jlpt-decks by Jamie Sinclair (MIT License), based on Jonathan Waller's JLPT lists (tanos.co.uk).Read more

Thanks everyone for downloading Japanese Vocab! In this update, we've fixed a bug that occurred when tapping Get in Switch App to download one of our other Japanese apps. Get Our Other Japanese Apps in One Tap: Switch App on the home screen lets you jump between Japanese Vocab, Japanese Kanji, Japanese Hiragana and Japanese Katakana. Before, tapping Get on an app you didn't have yet only told you it wasn't installed. Now it takes you straight to that app's App Store page, so you can add it and keep learning. The shortcuts on the app icon work the same way. Your feedback helps us improve you…
