Con Giúp connects Vietnamese speakers who need help with English to bilingual volunteers who are ready to help — right now, over a video call. A letter arrives and you're not sure what it says. A bill looks wrong. A phone call needs making and the words won't come. These are small moments, but they're the ones that make a day hard. Con Giúp exists for exactly those moments. HOW IT WORKS Tap one large button: "Cần giúp ngay" — I need help now. Choose what it's about: a doctor's letter, a bill, a phone call, paperwork, or something else. Con Giúp finds a bilingual volunteer who is available, and connects you by video call in moments. Show them the letter. Ask your question. Get an answer in Vietnamese. FOR VOLUNTEERS If you speak Vietnamese and English, you can help. Set the days and hours you're available, and you'll only be contacted then — never outside the schedule you choose. Accept a request when it suits you, skip it when it doesn't. Many volunteers are the children and grandchildren of people who needed this kind of help. Twenty minutes of your week can make an ordinary task possible for someone. BUILT FOR OLDER USERS Large text and large buttons throughout. Every screen in Vietnamese and English together. No passwords to remember — you sign in with your phone number and a code sent by text. SAFETY Both people rate each other after every call. Anyone can report a problem, and every report is reviewed by a real person. Reports of sexual solicitation suspend the account immediately. Con Giúp is for adults 18 and over only. WHAT CON GIÚP IS NOT Con Giúp is everyday, informal help from volunteers. It is not a certified interpreting service. Volunteers are not professional interpreters, and their language skills and areas of knowledge are self-reported, not verified by us. Please do not rely on Con Giúp for anything legally binding — immigration hearings, contracts, medical consent forms, or court proceedings. Those need a certified professional interpreter. We say this plainly because getting it wrong can genuinely hurt someone. Con Giúp is free. Volunteers are not paid, and there are no fees or subscriptions.
