About
Coffee Grow & Roast Journal is a quiet, personal notebook for people who grow coffee, roast it at home, or simply want to remember what they tasted. Follow one coffee through its whole life — from a seedling on the balcony, through flowering and ripening cherries, to processing, the roasting pan and finally the cup. FOLLOW THE PLANT The Growth Timeline tells your coffee's story in the order nature does: Seedling, Plant Growth, Flowering, Coffee Cherry Development, Harvest and Processing. Add dated observations and photos to each stage — "First flowers appeared after seasonal change", "Cherries started turning red" — and watch the stem fill in as your plant grows. RECORD HOW THE BEANS WERE PROCESSED Write down each processing batch: washed, natural or honey, how many days it dried, and what you noticed along the way. Compare two batches from the same harvest side by side. KEEP AN HONEST ROASTING NOTEBOOK Every roast gets its own number, linked back to the coffee it came from. Record roast level, roast time, temperature notes, development notes and a photo. A simple roast sketch shows where first crack and development fell, and each roast is compared with the one before it — so you know exactly what changed between Roast #03 and Roast #04. DISCOVER YOUR OWN TASTE No star ratings. Pick the words that fit — floral, fruity, chocolate, nutty; citrus, berry, caramel, spice — then acidity and body. Each cup becomes a taste fingerprint you can compare across roasts, and the journal shows which flavors you keep coming back to. A PERSONAL COFFEE LIBRARY Every coffee is bound into its own notebook: origin, growing information, processing history, the full roast series, tasting records and every photo you attached. Search by origin, process or flavor word. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-in • No internet connection needed • Your journal and photos stay on your device A worked example journal is included on first launch, so you can see how a full entry reads before writing your own. Made for coffee growers, home roasters and anyone curious about the journey from plant to cup.Read more
