About

Introductory Statistics Tutor is a complete learning companion for an undergraduate introductory statistics course. Rather than relying on isolated quizzes or formula memorization, the app helps students build statistical understanding progressively through guided instruction, targeted practice, visual reasoning, interactive exploration, and mastery. Work through 15 major areas of introductory statistics, from data and study design through probability, sampling distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression, chi-square methods, and ANOVA. Each topic follows a Learn → Practice → Master approach. Guided lessons introduce the ideas and reasoning behind each method. Practice questions are explicitly aligned to lesson objectives, while Master assessments use less scaffolding and emphasize transfer, interpretation, study design, model diagnostics, and procedure selection. Statistics is visual. Questions are supported by purpose-built statistical graphics including distributions, boxplots, sampling models, confidence intervals, hypothesis-test regions, scatterplots, regression and residual plots, contingency tables, and ANOVA comparisons. Visuals are designed to represent the actual statistical structure and numerical information in the question. Interactive Explorers let you investigate concepts directly. Change parameters, make a prediction, observe what happens, and explain the statistical result. Explore sampling variability, the Central Limit Theorem, normal distributions, confidence intervals, p-values, proportions, chi-square methods, correlation, regression, ANOVA, and more. A built-in Interactive Statistics Reference provides help when you need it without simply revealing answers. Use it to choose an appropriate statistical method, review formulas and notation, check conditions and assumptions, improve statistical interpretation, explore distributions, and investigate important relationships such as sample size, standard error, confidence level, margin of error, and p-values. The app also includes cumulative review and exam preparation. Use Quick Review for a short mixed session, focus on weaker areas, practice individual topics, work through procedure-selection problems, or complete a 60-question Full Exam Simulation. Progress tracking emphasizes first-attempt understanding, helping distinguish material that has been mastered from concepts that need another look. Missed concepts feed into Review so students can return to the relevant ideas and practice them again. Introductory Statistics Tutor includes 88 guided lessons, 600 core questions, 120 dedicated Master questions, interactive statistical Explorers, adaptive study guidance, cumulative exam review, and a comprehensive interactive reference. Designed for students taking an introductory college statistics course, AP Statistics students seeking additional support, or anyone who wants to understand the reasoning behind statistical methods—not simply memorize which formula to use.Read more
