About

Stuff in. Stuff out. Nobody's business. Like the chat you keep with yourself, but with channels, so nothing gets buried. Text, a photo, a video, or a recording, all kept the same way. Group it by channel, or don't, and find it anyway. No feed. No followers. No red dot. Your stuff. What you send stays on your phone. There is no account with us and no server of ours, and nothing in the app talks to the internet. The one exception is dictation, and only if you turn it on: Apple's speech recognition turns a recording into text, and to do that it may send the audio to Apple; the words are then searchable. With it off, a recording is just a recording, not transcribed and not searchable by what was said. If your phone backs up to iCloud, the backup includes Hadoc, like any app. It's free. There is no server to pay for. No ads, no account, no sign-up, no notifications, and nothing in it reports back to us. If Hadoc is ever discontinued, nothing switches off: the app stays on your phone with everything in it, and everything exports in a form you can read without it. Export the whole record or one channel, as a plain-text JSON document (text only), or as a .hadoc package — a plain zip of the text and media, with a note that explains the files so another app or an assistant can read them. Import takes either back. Delete everything in one go; there is no undo. A dispatch is text, with an optional title and one attachment: a photo, a video, or a recording. Edit it, move it, delete it. Created and edited times are kept. Channels nest as deep as you like. You never have to make one — global is already there and holds everything. Send from global and it lands in global; move it later, or never. A perspective is a filter you save on a channel, global included. Any word, any tag, any date, alone or together, included or left out, and the kind of dispatch. The count of matches updates as you set them. Save the search once; use it whenever you like. Recordings made with dictation on are found by the words in them. As you type, it suggests the tags you'd have picked, from how you've tagged before: the first words of what you're writing, the words in a dictated recording. They appear above the keyboard. Nothing is suggested until you've made tags and used them. Reset what they've learned in Settings.Read more
