About

Keepasso is a KeePass client for Mac, iPad and iPhone. It opens the .kdbx you already have — in iCloud Drive, in a Files provider or on a drive — edits it where it lives, and saves it back in the version it came in, so every other KeePass client reads it the next morning as if nothing happened. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Keepasso sends nothing anywhere on its own. YOUR FILE, WHERE IT LIVES • Opened in place and saved straight back — the only way one file stays one file on three devices. • KDBX 3.1 and 4.x; AES-256, ChaCha20 and Twofish; AES-KDF, Argon2d and Argon2id; key files. • Saved in the version it came in, with every field the format has still in it. New databases are KDBX 4.1 under Argon2id. • A folder of its own in iCloud Drive, offered and never forced, so a database is the same file on every device signed into your Apple Account. FACE ID, TOUCH ID AND AUTOFILL • Face ID or Touch ID opens a database whose key you chose to keep, and so does your Mac's password or your passcode. What is kept is the key that opens that one file, in this device's keychain — never your database's password. • AutoFill at login forms on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with the matches for the site first and everything else under them. EVERYTHING AN ENTRY HAS • Your groups as your database has them, open and in order. • Custom and protected fields, tags, expiry dates, attachments and history. • Search over titles, user names, URLs, notes and tags — never passwords. • A password generator that says what a password is worth in bits. • Duplicate an entry, move it with a drag, or send it with its attachments through the share sheet. ON THE MAC • Three columns and the KeePass keys: ⌘F to find, ⌘B and ⇧⌘C to copy the user name and the password, ⇧⌘U to open the URL, ⌘N, ⌘E, ⌘D, ⌘S and ⌘L. • Two databases, two windows. ON SCREEN • A password is twelve dots until you ask, whatever its length. • A copied password leaves the clipboard after the interval you set. • The database locks itself when you leave it, and says so for its last thirty seconds. • Light and dark, or whatever your device is set to. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT ISN'T No sync service and no merge — one file, wherever you keep it. No import from other password managers, no one-time codes, no passkeys and no hardware keys. Changing a database's password is not in the app. A forgotten password cannot be recovered, by us or by anyone.Read more
