About
A quiet puzzle about drawing one unbroken line through a constellation. On an engraved plate, stars are joined by threads. Trace every thread exactly once without lifting the stroke — each new thread has to begin where the last one ended. When the final thread is drawn, the whole figure lights up in gold. It is the classic one-stroke problem, built by hand: some threads carry two passes, some run only one way, and in the deepest skies both the first star and the last are chosen for you. SIX SKIES, SEVENTY-TWO FIGURES • The Low Meridian — the stroke learns to run without lifting • The Salt Horizon — a marked star decides where to begin • The Glass Zenith — double threads, drawn twice before they are spent • The Amber Belt — chevrons decide which way a thread may run • The Deep Field — the last star is chosen as well as the first • The Sidereal Loom — every rule of the atlas woven into one plate BUILT, NOT COLLECTED No figure here was drawn by hand or picked from a list. Every one is constructed by a seeded generator that walks a route first and invents the threads as it crosses them, so a solution always exists. A separate validator then confirms it from the graph alone before the figure is ever shown. The same seed always gives the same figure, on every device and after every update. A NEW FIGURE EVERY NIGHT The Daily Thread gives one figure a day, the same for every chart. Keep a streak going, or trace one of the last six nights late — it counts towards your totals. THE OBSERVATION LOG Where a figure from the atlas meets the sky outside. Write a note, record the conditions — clear, hazy or clouded — and attach a photograph of the real night. Photographs stay on your device and can be replaced or removed at any time. TWENTY-FOUR ENGRAVED PLATES Meridian circles, sextants, planispheres and lunation wheels, earned for finishing a sky, for strokes traced without a hint, for streaks, and for keeping the log. MADE TO BE KIND • Tapping alone can finish any figure — dragging is optional and can be switched off entirely • Adjustable thread weight, degree marks on every star, and full Reduce Motion support • Night Chart and Day Chart, both complete, with Night Chart as the default • Native on iPhone and iPad COMPLETELY OFFLINE No accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no purchases, and not a single network request.
