About
Pacekeeper measures how far you walk or run, and keeps every step of it on your phone. No account. No sign-up. No servers. Your routes are yours, and they never leave the device unless you choose to export them. WHAT IT DOES Distance, time, pace and speed, updated every second while you move. Keeps counting with the screen off and the phone in your pocket. Pauses itself when you stop at a crossing, and picks up again when you move. Speaks your time and pace at every mile or kilometre, ducking your music rather than stopping it. Saves each session with its route, its splits and the climb. Exports any session as a GPX file for Strava, Garmin Connect, Komoot or anything else that reads one. Works with no signal at all. A run in a valley with no bars is measured exactly the same as one in town. FREE, AND STAYING FREE Tracking. History. The route map. Splits. Elevation gain. GPX export. The voice at every mile. One profile. Those are the things every other tracker gives away, so Pacekeeper does too. ONE PAYMENT, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION A single payment unlocks the rest, once, forever: Interval workouts. Pick a session such as eight repeats of 400 metres, and Pacekeeper speaks each step and counts you down into the next one. Steps advance on moving time or distance, so waiting at a crossing does not eat your interval. Stats and records. What you covered each week, and your fastest mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, taken from the best stretch inside any session rather than only whole runs. Route pictures. Share the shape of a run with its numbers, drawn on your phone. Everyone on the phone. Profiles for the whole household, each with their own history, all covered by the one payment. There is no subscription, and there will not be one. Pacekeeper has no servers to pay for, so there is nothing to keep charging you for. BUILT TO BE PRIVATE Sessions, routes and settings live in the app on your phone. No analytics. No advertising. No crash reporting. No trackers of any kind. Your history is marked as excluded from iCloud Backup, so it is not copied to iCloud. Settings shows you what iOS reports for your own phone. Two things reach the internet, and only when you ask. Opening a route map downloads map images of that area. Switching on the weather sends a position rounded to about a kilometre to MET Norway, and nothing else. Deleting the app removes everything. There is no copy of your runs anywhere else. WHAT YOU NEED An iPhone running iOS 16 or later. Location permission, for the obvious reason. Motion and fitness permission, which lets Pacekeeper tell walking from running by your step rate. It works without it, using speed alone. Made by iDevOpsLLC.
