About

Paradoc turns a photo of paper into a clean PDF, then does everything else a PDF needs: merge, split, compress, organize, convert, lock, unlock. All of it on your iPhone. No account. No subscription. No ads. Nothing is uploaded. Put your iPhone in airplane mode and every feature still works. A SCANNER THAT UNDERSTANDS PAPER Point the camera at a page. Paradoc finds the edges, squares up the perspective and runs an on-device neural network that lifts shadows and uneven lighting out of the photo, so a page shot on a desk under a lamp comes out looking like it went through a flatbed. It was built and tested on the things people actually scan, not just clean white sheets: receipts, ID cards, book pages, whiteboards, coloured paper. BUILT FOR THE PDFs THAT USUALLY BREAK THINGS Plenty of apps handle the easy files. Paradoc was engineered for the rest: • Encrypted PDFs. Opens password-protected files, including legacy RC4 and AES-128 ones, and keeps them encrypted through Split, Organize and Compress, upgraded to AES-256 on output. • Owner-restricted PDFs. Files locked against printing or copying are detected and handled, no password required. • Digitally signed PDFs. Paradoc checks for signatures before touching a file and warns you when an edit would invalidate one. Certified documents are left untouched. • PDF/A archives. The conformance claim is detected and flagged before you change the file. • Fillable forms. Merge two forms with the same field names and the result still works: clashing fields are renamed, radio groups and nested fields survive, and filled-in values are preserved through Compress. • Rotated pages, PDF 1.4 through 2.0, linearized files, object streams, files up to 100 MB. • Compress keeps what matters: annotations, form values, bookmarks, tagged structure, page labels, named destinations, attachments, CMYK and ICC colour, and the title and author metadata. • Damaged or truncated files get a clear error, never a crash. SEVEN TOOLS SCAN: Camera or photo library, up to 20 pages per document, saved as Auto, Grayscale or Original. MERGE: Up to 20 files in the order you choose, with per-file passwords for encrypted inputs. SPLIT: Pull a page range out into its own file. Encryption is preserved. COMPRESS: Three presets (Light, Balanced, Maximum). Image re-encoding, font subsetting and object-stream repacking, the same techniques desktop tools use. Document metadata is kept. ORGANIZE: Reorder, delete and rotate pages from a thumbnail grid. Rotation composes correctly with pages that were already rotated. PDF TO IMAGE: Export pages as JPEG at up to 600 DPI with selectable quality, up to 20 pages per export. PROTECT / UNLOCK: Lock a PDF with AES-256, the strongest encryption the PDF standard defines. Unlock removes a password you know or clears owner-only restrictions. The scanner runs on neural networks that ship inside the app and never leave it. The six PDF tools run on Paradoc's own extended build of the open-source PDFium engine, rewriting files at the byte level rather than re-rendering them, so text stays text and vectors stay vectors. PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE Paradoc makes no network requests. There is no server, so there is nothing to breach and nothing to retain. Your tax return, your contract, your passport scan: none of it needs to visit someone else's computer to be merged, shrunk or locked. The work happens where the file already is. Available in English, Hindi, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian and Hebrew, with full right-to-left layout.Read more
