About

The first video game, with one new rule. Every return raises the pot. Win the point and the pot is yours, banked by the square: a rally of 5 pays 25, a rally of 12 pays 144. Lose the point and it is gone. So every rally asks the same question. End it now, or let it grow? And now you can attack. Flick your thumb forward as the ball arrives and you smash it. Time it dead on for a PERFECT. Mistime it and your paddle is stunned, with the ball still coming. SEVEN WAYS TO PLAY Volo. Three hearts against a ladder of fifteen rivals and three bosses. Each one plays differently: Wall never misses a slow ball, Mirror stands where you stand, Metronome only moves on the beat. Chaos. The same ladder with twenty two wild cards landing on both of you every few seconds. Blackout. Decoys. Swapped paddles. A second ball. Never one sided, always survivable. Duel. Two players, one phone, one end each. Free, and the reason to show it to someone. Classic. 1972 rules, nothing added. First to eleven, a square ball, three blips. Daily. One rival and one court a day, the same for everybody. Three tries. Keep a streak. League. Found a club in a car park and climb four divisions, seven nights a season. Pick your fixtures, choose your approach, train once a week. A cup, a rival, a derby, and the other clubs moving around you. Zen. You, a wall that never misses, and the music. A PARTNER, NOT A POWER UP Sign a doubles partner, name them, pick their temperament and decide who stands at the net. They improve only by playing, beside you and in reserve matches you can watch back and coach. No money makes them better. YOU CAN HEAR THE POT The soundtrack is generated as you play. Every hit is a note, always in key. As the pot grows the music adds bass, drums, an arpeggio, a lead. Bank it and it resolves. Lose it and it cuts to silence. MADE TO FEEL RIGHT The paddle is your thumb, one to one. 120 frames a second where the screen allows. Spin bends the ball. Edges send it wide. Five pods drift across the net. Twenty paddles, fourteen balls, twelve courts, seven finishers and six sound packs, nearly all earned by playing. NO NONSENSE No adverts. No account. No tracking. Works in aeroplane mode. Progress follows you between your own devices through iCloud. Leaderboards and achievements are Game Center's, and you can ignore both. VOLO PRO One payment, never a subscription: Division 1 of the League, the Cup from the quarter finals, Tournament for four to eight players on one phone, double coins, a free revive each run, and cosmetics nobody else has. Coins can be bought in packs, but there is nothing coins buy that playing will not eventually pay for.Read more
