About
Paul of Tarsus crossed the Roman world three times, on foot and by ship. This app lets you watch him do it. Choose a journey and press play. A marker travels the route stop by stop across a hand-drawn parchment map — walking overland, sailing by sea — while the road behind it is drawn in. Pause anywhere, step forward or back a stop, restart, or speed the voyage up to 2x or 4x. At every stop a card tells you where you are and what happened there: a short account in plain language, the notable events as brief points, and the verses from the Book of Acts that record them, in the King James text. WHAT'S INSIDE • All three missionary journeys, from Antioch to Jerusalem — 43 stops and 10,310 km in all • First Journey: Cyprus and Galatia, c. AD 46–48 (Acts 13–14) • Second Journey: Into Europe, c. AD 49–52 (Acts 15:36–18:22) • Third Journey: Ephesus and the Road to Jerusalem, c. AD 53–57 (Acts 18:23–21:17) • 84 verses from Acts, King James Version • 36 photographs of the sites as they stand today, covering 24 places • Ancient names alongside modern ones — Lystra near Hatunsaray, Corinth near Kórinthos • Sea legs and land legs drawn differently, so you can see when Paul sailed and when he walked SIMPLE BY DESIGN Everything is bundled in the app and it works offline. No account, no subscription, no advertising, no tracking. Open it and it runs. WHO IT'S FOR Readers working through Acts, Sunday school and Bible study leaders who want something to show, students of the ancient Mediterranean, and anyone who has read these chapters and wondered what shape they make on a map. Scripture is the King James Version, which is in the public domain. Every photograph is public domain or Creative Commons licensed and is shown with its photographer and licence.Read more
